On the site of the apparition cottage prince Marko Frankopan built Franciscan monastery and today it is a famous Marian pilgrimage site.

Feast of St. Mark Križevčan

Third Croatian saint, born in Križevci, by the real name of Marko Krizin, studied theology and later lived in Rome. During the 30-year war was imprisoned and tortured in Kosice along with Melchior Grodziec kim and Istvan Pongracz (Košice martyrs). Canonized in 1995, is the patron saint of the city of Križevci, which celebrates its feast every year.
